Bountiful Butterflies

Few creations capture my imagination and bring a smile to my face more than butterflies, especially a bowl full of them!
BowlofButterfliesfilterresizedPhoto1I could not believe my eyes when I saw not one –but dozens of beautiful Blue Morpho butterflies–feasting on melons and orange slices in this refreshment stand at Butterfly Wonderland in Scottsdale. I will try this idea next summer in my backyard and let you know how it turns out…
GreenButterflyfilterresizedPhoto2I never knew that green butterflies existed until now! This exotic beauty reminds me of a peacock…
Yellow and Black on PurplefilterresizedPhoto3I think this lovely creature is part of the ”Paper Kite” species. I love the yellow and lavender contrasts…giantbutterflyfilterresizedPhoto4This giant Atlas Moth, the largest in the world, was much wider than the span of my outstretched hand…so many intricate details in these wings…
MonarchonorangeflowersfilterresizedPhoto6If you are ever in Scottsdale, this rainforest experience is amazing and well worth a very reasonable ticket price. The Butterfly Wonderland theatre’s 3D movie about the Monarchs’ flight is also astonishing…
