Southern Christmas Tablescapes

One of the the highlights of the Christmas season for me this year was a recent ”Believe in Miracles” Women’s program at PCBC, our local church in Peachtree Corners. Great food, fantastic conversation, magical music and an inspirational message that was delivered to about 350 women in attendance…

Another phenomenal aspect of the evening evolved around the dazzling and super creative tablescape decorations, created by friends in our Life Group class and by other members in our church. Thank you ladies!! I love our church! Here are a few of their ideas.  Hope you enjoy the photos and that they will get your own creative juices flowing as you create your own tablescapes for Christmas.

Francesplacesettingfilterresizedphoto1I really like the soft golden glow created by the table runner and candle holder. The gold “Believe” ornament is a great touch to tie in the theme and to adorn this beautiful place setting…
ChristmastreetablescapeposterizedresizedPhoto2These elegant miniature trees created the perfect backdrop for the gold themed place settings…
SantaworshipingJesusfilterResizedPhoto3I had never seen this particular Santa and baby Jesus centerpiece. The message reads “Wise Men Still Seek Him.”
PoinsettiafilterResizedPhoto4Of course, you can never go wrong with poinsettias taking center stage.  Just remember to buy small ones, if you’re using them as a centerpiece…it might be difficult to peep through the larger size plants at the dinner table…
PeggyandSheilasettingfilterPhoto5To add lots of visual interest just add beads of any color…like these gold ones… to stemmed glasses of different sizes…and to bring this tablescape together…
PeggyandSheilasettingPhoto6Gold chargers, gold rimmed plates, pearl enhanced napkin rings and a bright red Christmas ornament for contrast…

This see-through iron lantern, surrounded by glass angels happened to be at my table. Such a super idea…I may have to borrow it in the future…are you listening ladies… :-)

How many of us have lighted churches…I have one somewhere…hmmm…I love this one and it makes a great centerpiece!…To wrap things up…
BelieveinmiraclesaquafilterbutterflyResizedPhoto8 - CopyBecause butterflies are one of my favorite things on earth… I adore this aqua blue-colored butterfly themed table, which was voted “first place” by the attendees.  The red “Believe in Miracles” card adds a nice contrast.  However, the translucent netting with the rhinestone butterfly napkin ring was a “stunner” and put it over the top. And, my very favorite photo of this same table…
ButterflytabletransformedresizedPhoto9The sparkling netting around the butterfly gives this tablescape a heavenly star dust quality. And, who can top that message as the reason for the season.  Merry Christmas everyone!
